Phillip Song 8/16/09English 11C Creation Myth: Tears of Ocean Long time ago, there was a girl named Jane and a boy named Poseidon. They loved each other more than anyone else in the world. Jane was born with wealth, but Poseidon was born with poor. In addition, Jane was pretty, but Poseidon was ugly. They couldn’t hang out every day because Jane’s father hates Poseidon for not being wealthy. One day, Jane’s father finds out that her daughter was still going out with Poseidon. Therefore, he didn’t let Jane to see Poseidon forever.
After few years later, Poseidon was hardly living his life without Jane. Poseidon couldn’t completely forget about Jane. So he decided to see Jane from far apart. He waited for a long time, but Jane didn’t come. At the moment Poseidon tried to go home, Jane was walking towards her home. However, Poseidon saw a wealthy man heading towards the house holding hands with Jane. Poseidon was shocked and cried as he ran away. However, he cried too much that the whole world has submerged. Due to his tears, today, we have a world with an ocean.
